TOMMY LEE Is 'An Illustrated Man'
October 10, 2003Former MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee has reportedly set "An Illustrated Man" as the title for his upcoming autobiography, now due in the spring through Atria Books, the hardcover imprint of Simon & Schuster. As previously reported, the book, which was originally rumored to have been titled "Ragz to Riches" (and later "Misunderstood"),will contain many details not included in the CRÜE's best-selling band autobiography, "The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band". "'The Dirt' was only a look into four guys' lives," Lee said in a web posting. "This is a microscope into only mine. This will be a mindblower! People really don't know all!"
Lee recently helped his ex-wife Pamela Anderson land a publishing deal of her own by introducing her with his recommendation to Judith Curr of Simon & Schuster Inc.Curr proceeded to do a deal with Anderson "for two novels, for an undisclosed sum," the publisher said. "They are romans à clef." The two novels, titled "Above the Waist" and "Below the Belt", are not expected to surface before the end of next year.
